My manifesto
Vulvas, breasts, butts… as long as it stays within the standards of society, the female anatomy is generally associated with delight, sensuality, desire: a certain idea of gracefulness. (By female, we mean here the gender stereotype applied to every person assigned female at birth.) This assessment is the same in several artistic fields, to the point it has been normalized, for instance for marketing purposes. But what about the penis?
Whether flaccid or erected, its reputation has gotten worse through the ages. The shaft, at first shown as a worshipping symbol of fertility, for good luck or just for aesthetics, is now associated with a negative connotation. This was enforced by the expansion of social medias and the infamous unsolicited dick-pic a lot of us have been confronted to. Nowadays, the penis reminds us of something intrusive, possibly violent. It comes as no surprise that this point of view’s legacy has set deep in mainstream pornography. In cis-straight scenes, the shots around female performers are way more meticulous, and there are a lot more of them than of their male co-stars, if there are any. The same thing goes with the "solo male" and "solo female" categories: we can definitely see the dichotomy between them. The "solo male" section is under-represented, lacking variety and quality of filming, making it hard to identify with it.
It is the desire to create explicit content bringing the penis back to its former glory that led to the creation of Ori Pale. It is a testimony to a more erotic yet softer male sexuality, still exciting to admire. A type of porno showing a new, no less proud, image of masturbation and ejaculation, because in the end, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself, in every sense of the way.
